The Friendly Toast (x2)-Cambridge, MA

What I Ate:
The first time I had french toast on cinnamon bread, half order of huevos rancheros and a coffee
The second time I had the New Hampshire omelet with egg whites, goat cheese, asparagus and bacon

When I first came up to Boston, my mom and I were looking for a great place to go get breakfast at and what we found was "The Friendly Toast" in our Google and Urbanspoon search. The Friendly Toast also has a location in Portsmouth, NH. Our search also said that "Good Morning America" had ranked this restaurant as one of the best breakfasts in America, so obviously we had to check it out for ourselves! Walking into The Friendly Toast is like stepping into your bedroom in the 1970s (at least what my mom would describe...I'm a millennial). It has a great vibe and personality to it!

When deciding what to order I was extremely torn, but was so happy with my choices both times. Everything is made to order and fresh. They also use a lot of local products and make their bread in house, so the cinnamon raisin french toast was INCREDIBLE! I had to go back the second time because I just wanted to try something different. It was extremely busy on the weekend, but the hour wait went by fast as we stood at the bar and got coffee. However you can get mimosas and other drinks if that is your fancy. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Greater Boston area! A must eat!

Breakfast the first time, YUM!

&grain- Garwood, NJ

What I Ate:
Roasted Beet and Carrot Salad with Grilled Chicken

Normally when I come home to NJ I eat at local places I grew up with and miss from time to time. However one afternoon while visiting my best friend at work, she recommended I check out &grain...and I am so glad I did! With a quaint, cozy atmosphere, this was the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a really great salad. In addition to the beets, carrots and chicken, this salad had some amazing pickled onions, goat cheese and an awesome vinaigrette on the side. They also provided a piece of bread, which I am almost certain was made in house! I cannot wait to return again.

Look at all those colors!

Pinky's Diner-Tampa, FL

What I Ate:
Oatmeal Pancakes
Self Serve Coffee
Side of Bacon

Out of all the meals I've had in Tampa, this has been one of the best breakfast/brunch meals I've had. We came here on Easter Sunday and were immediately in love with it! The pancakes were soft and fluffy, you can truly taste the oatmeal in the pancakes. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and very hip with their self serve coffee bar and vintage mugs. I would definitely return to Pinky's and recommend it to anyone!

Hott Mess Food Truck-Tampa, FL

What I Ate:
Buffalo Chicken Tater Tots
Diet Coke

I am a food truck junky! When I worked in Washington D.C last year, my favorite thing to do was to explore the different food trucks within the area. I was happy to find on this Saturday that the food trucks of Tampa were meeting up at a local bar for an afternoon. I found the Hott Mess food truck the most intriguing because of there assortment of tater tots. Call me Napoleon Dynamite, but I LOVE tater tots...and one thing I love as much as tots is buffalo flavored things. So ordering the Buffalo Chicken Tater Tots was an easy decision for me. They were delicious, spicy and the perfect proportion of tots to buffalo chicken. I highly recommend checking out the Tampa Bay Food Trucks which can be found here.

Fun Saturday afternoon at the Food Trucks!
